Bobby Moore went home to be with the Lord on March 12, 2026. He was born June 8, 1934, to Ruth and Sam Moore in Shelbyville, TN. There, he met and married his high school sweetheart, Joyce Davis, and cherished her during their 72 years of marriage.
Bobby answered the call to preach as a high school senior. He pastored his first church, Gardendale Baptist, while attending college in Birmingham, Alabama. He completed his sixty-plus years of ministry at Amazing Grace Baptist in Lawrenceville, Ga.
Bobby was a loving father to his three children, Tim (Christie) Moore, Cheryl Connelly, and Jerree (Jr.) Pitts. He was PawPaw to his grandchildren, Garrett (Brianna) Moore, Jessica (George) Szabo, Kaci (David) Sanders, Avery (Dillon) Lewis, Logan (Santana) Howell, and to his 14 great-grandchildren.
Bobby enjoyed woodworking and sharing the items he built with others. He enjoyed playing and watching football and was a loyal Tennessee Volunteers supporter. He shared his love of camping and hiking with his family and friends. Bobby lived his life sharing the love of Jesus with everyone he met.
The family will receive visitors on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Clark Funeral Home between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM. A funeral service will follow in the Sam Clark Chapel at 4:00 PM with the family officiating. A cryptside service and entombment will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at East Shadowland Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceville, Georgia, at 1:00 PM. Garrett Moore, Logan Howell, David Sanders, Dillon Lewis, George Szabo, and Junior Pitts will serve as pallbearers.
He has finished his race. He ran a good course. He has now heard "welcome home, my good and faithful servant."
Clark Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the service of Bro. Bobby Moore.
