HARROD -- Jerry A. Burden, 80 of Harrod, passed away October 28, 2025, at Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay. Jerry was born September 1, 1945 in Lima, to Cecil and Helen (Rhodes) Burden, who preceded him in death. On September 18, 1964, he married the love of his life, Mary (Shuey) Burden, who survives him in Lima.
Jerry was a 1964 graduate of Harrod High School and a proud United States Marines veteran. He worked at Ford Motor Company in the Benefits Department for 43 years until his retirement in 2010. One of Jerry's favorite things to do was work in his barn and tinker on his trailers. He loved attending his grandchildrens' sporting events and being outside. Jerry enjoyed a good scratch-off lottery ticket, Ford trucks, and most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Jerry is survived by his daughters, Christine (Pat) Clark and MeLisa Burden; siblings, Linda (Gale) Gahr, Henry Burden, Regina Voght and Cyndi (Ed Newport) Burden; grandchildren, Chase (Mackenzie) Burden Clark, Chandler M. Clark, Johnny Brinkman and Emma C. Brinkman and his great-grandchildren, Rayelle Clark and Knox Brinkman.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Cecil 'Ike' Burden.

Mary, I am so sorry to hear of our loss of my Brother/Friend Jerry.
We served together in our United States Marine Corps from Parris Island to Camp Geiger to Camp Lejeune to Court House Bay. We then served together at Ford Motor Company. The last time I saw you and Jerry was at the Allen County Fair many years ago as Barb and I moved away from Lima many years ago.
We join you in our loss of my friend but we will all see him again and recognize one another.
Love you, my Sister,
Bill
