Jerry Burks Obituary

He is survived by his mother, Lottie Compton; brother Eugene Burks and wife Brenda; sisters Eleena Bugg and husband David and Michelle Mason and husband, David; son Michael Burks and wife Andrea; three granddaughters; and eight nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind many dear friends who were like family, Carol Shannon and Grandma Cathy
He was preceded in death by his father Theale Burks, brother Prentiss Burks, stepfather Jim Compton, and dear companion Ruth Anderson.
Jerry, called Anderson his home for the past 20 years. He was well-known in the community for hosting weekly karaoke nights, which brought joy and laughter to so many. He loved fishing, bulldozing/dirt work, making woodwork and enjoying the simple things in life.
Jerry will be remembered for his kind spirit, sense of humor, and the way he touched the lives of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
Celebration of Life will be Tuesday September 30, 2026 12-2pm at the Karaoke Shop. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
