Jerry Wayne Cantrell Jr.

Jerry Wayne Cantrell, Jr. 64, of Old Hickory, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. Jerry was born in Nashville, September 23rd, 1957. He had been an asbestos worker and was a pipe layer with local 86. Sports were the center of his life. Jerry loved playing softball and basketball. He had umpired and also loved fishing. He was a social and outgoing individual who loved his family. He attended Connell Memorial United Methodist Church in Goodlettsville. Jerry leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Jerry Wayne Cantrell, Sr. and Joyce Lorene Owens Cantrell; his children, Kelly Rice, Matthew Cantrell, and Rachel Lynn Hedgepath; his grandchildren, Hunter, Brice, Karley, Brilee, Jaylynn and Kelsey; and his sisters, Nancy J. Travis (Frank L. Travis) and Lori Jane Cantrell. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Connell Memorial United Methodist Church, 113 Church St., Goodlettsville, TN at 1:00 PM. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Jerry's name to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or Alive Hospice (Alive).
