Melissa Cantrell

Melissa Cantrell, age 49 of White, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 9, 2026. She was born on July 21, 1976 in Canton, Georgia.

Melissa was a member of Miller's Chapel Full Gospel Church. She enjoyed traveling, cruising, shopping, and especially loved spending time at the beach. She had a special place in her heart for her beloved fur babies, Pebbles and Roxy.

Melissa loved her family and friends dearly. She was a loving, kind, and gentle soul who touched the lives of many with her warmth and compassion.

Her memory will be treasured always, and her love will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ricky Lamanac and grandparents, Donald and Eunice Lamanac and Claude and Essie McFarland.

Melissa is survived by her husband, Donnie Cantrell; mother, Martha Shepardson (Duane); aunts, Sharon McMillan (Dan) and Karen Lamanac; as well as cousins and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Josh James and Rev. Mike Ware officiating. Interment will follow in Millers Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 11th from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday, March 12th from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
