Jerry Wayne Crittendon, of Palmersville, TN, was born on September 15, 1938, in Martin, TN. He departed this life peacefully on October 11, 2025, at the Weakley County Nursing Home, surrounded by his loved ones.
A proud veteran, Jerry served in the National Guard, exemplifying his dedication to his country and community. He was known for his warmth, kindness, and ability to make those around him feel cherished. His family remembers him not only as a devoted husband and father but also as a loving grandfather and great-grandfather, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Jerry is survived by his son, Jeff (Mandy) Crittendon, of Knoxville, TN; stepson Darryl (Andi) Poiner of Martin, TN; daughter Teresa (Kerry) Boane of Gleason, TN; stepdaughter Carol Oliver of Dresden, TN; and stepdaughter Ann Boswell of Dresden, TN. His family continues to celebrate the joy he brought into their lives with the presence of eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Doris Crittendon, and his parents, Toy F. Crittendon and Gertie Lee Prince. Additionally, he mourned the loss of his daughters, Pam Crittendon and Amy Horice, who remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him.
A graveside service to honor Jerry's life will be held on October 14, 2025, at Macks Grove Cemetery in Palmersville, TN. The service will commence at 2:00 PM, officiated by Bro. Terry Griffin. The family welcomes all to celebrate Jerry's life and legacy; however, they would like to note that there will be no visitation at the funeral home.
Jerry Wayne Crittendon will be dearly missed, yet his spirit will continue to shine through the countless lives he impacted throughout his journey on this earth.
