Jerry D'Adamo Obituary
March 5, 1945 - June 16, 2025
Jerry was born March 5, 1945, in Casper, WY and graduated from NCHS in 1963. He attended Casper College and the Univ. of Wyoming.
He joined the Navy on his 23rd birthday and became a hospital corpsman. Jerry served with the 3rd Fleet Marines as a corpsman in Okinawa and was honorably discharged in December 1971. He received a Letter of Commendation for his work in malaria research as a research lab tech.
After his service Jerry returned to Casper and went to work for Pacific Power and Light and became an electrical estimator, a job he held until his retirement in November 2000.
Jerry married Libby Logan Jacquot on October 26, 1979, in Casper and became dad to Josh. He shared his interests, hobbies and skills with Josh, whose career in cars and photography is a lasting tribute to Jerry.
Jerry had many interests including archery, and in his 50's, he won a gold medal for archery in the Wyoming State Games. He had a life-long interest in cars, continually buying and restoring them, especially unusual foreign sports cars. He was known to his friends as the man who could fix anything.
He also loved playing billiards. In AZ, he played in pool leagues all winter. In Wyoming, in the summers, he played pool in the Senior Olympics, where he won the gold medal in his age group in 2015 and 2016, and the silver medal in 2018.
Jerry became a born-again, baptized Christian in 1995.
Jerry had a wonderful sense of humor and the ability to bring a smile to anyone's face. He loved to make people laugh and his smile and humor will be missed by all who knew him. He was a devoted husband, dad, and Papa to Kate and Abby.
Jerry and Libby enjoyed spending winters since 2005 at their home at Venture Out in Mesa, AZ.
He is survived by his wife Libby D'Adamo; son Josh Jacquot and his wife Tanya; granddaughters, Kate and Abby Jacquot; and brother Louis and many sisters and brothers-in-law and nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Central Wyoming Hospice or Meals on Wheels in Casper.
