Jerry Randall Gardner

Westminster, SC – Jerry Randall Gardner, loving husband of Vera Della Gardner, passed away peacefully at his residence on November 16, 2025, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. Born on December 24, 1952, in Erwin, NC, he was the son of the late Robert Lee Gardner and Margaret Genevieve Johnson.
In addition to his devoted wife, Jerry is survived by his son, Isaac Dylan Gardner; his beloved granddaughter, and the light of his world, Mia Gardner; and his faithful feline companion, Tyrion Lannister Gardner.
Jerry was a man of many interests, talents, and passions. He enjoyed music, reading, attending music festivals, golfing, and following sports-especially baseball. He was a proud supporter of the Clemson Tigers, East Carolina Pirates, and the Atlanta Braves. Fiercely independent and entirely self-made, Jerry lived his life with determination, grit, and a clear sense of who he was. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he never missed an opportunity to show his love and support. Known for his patient, kindhearted nature, he mentored many young people throughout his life, offering encouragement, guidance, and friendship.
A memorial service to honor Jerry's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 29, 2025, in the Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, at the funeral home.
Flowers are accepted, or memorials in his memory may be made to Mia's Life Fund, 151 Golden Acres Rd., Westminster, SC 29693. The family will be at the residence.
Jerry will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his joyful spirit, his independent nature, and his dedication to lifting others up. His legacy will continue to live on in the lives of all who knew and loved him.
