Funeral services for Jerry Gladson, 83-year-old Buffalo resident who passed away Thursday at his home in Buffalo following a long illness, will be held Thursday, October 2nd at 10:00 a.m. at the Harness Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Paul Gilbert officiating. Visitation will be from the funeral home chapel on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery with graveside services to follow the funeral. A reception and time of fellowship will be held at the American Legion Hall in Buffalo following the graveside service. Donations in Jerry's memory may be made to the Buffalo Senior Center at 671 W. Jerry Dee Gladson and his twin brother Terry were born on July 14, 1942 in Gillette, Wyoming to Forrest and Dessie Genieve Gladson. He grew up and went to school in Gillette and graduated from Campbell County High School with the class of 1960. After high school he attended Casper College for two years before transferring to the University of Wyoming where he received a bachelor's degree in agriculture in 1966. In 1963 he was married in Casper to Donna McIntosh. After graduating from the university Jerry took a job with the U. S. Department of Agriculture Soil Conservation Service and they made their home in various towns in Wyoming including Sundance, Dubois, Jackson Hole, Torrington, Wheatland. They settled in Buffalo in 1979 where Jerry continued with the Conservation Service until he retired after almost 30 years in 1994. After retiring Jerry and Donna continued living in Buffalo until his death.
Jerry was a past member of the Buffalo Lion's Club, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time in the Big Horns. His passion was his family and spending time with his kids and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Donna Gladson of Buffalo; one son Quinton Gladson and his wife Amy of Casper; two daughters, Stacy Bear and her husband Tom of Centennial, Colorado and Jennifer Bernhardt and her husband John of Park City, Montana; his twin brother Terry Gladson and his wife Bonnie of Gillette, Wyoming; three sisters, Dena Williams of Buffalo, Karen Phillippi and her husband Larry and Linda Pruitt and her husband Marshall both of Eufaula, Oklahoma; thirteen grandchildren, Tyler, Sarah, Toni, Randi, Lane, Taylor, Mackenzie, Jack, Payton, Brock, Kylee, Alicia and Jeremy; and twenty-two great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister JoAnn.
