Walter Gladson Jr., age 82, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025.
He was of the Church of God faith and was a man who deeply loved the Lord. Walter enjoyed studying the Bible and sharing his faith with others. He also loved good food, talking with people, and telling jokes that brought smiles to those around him. One of his favorite pastimes was washing his car and spending time outdoors with his wife, sitting together in their rockers and enjoying the day.
He is survived by his devoted spouse, Lorraine Gladson; son, Tony (Shelia) Gladson; daughters, Cindy (Jackie) Willis, Tracy (Ronnie) Waters, and Sherry (Stanley) Poole; brothers, Tommy Gladson, Eddie Gladson, Ronnie Gladson, Lee Gladson, and Danny Gladson; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren who brought him great joy.
Walter will be remembered for his kind heart, his faith, and the laughter he shared with all who knew him. His legacy of love and devotion to family and faith will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Walter's life at a visitation on Tuesday November 4, 2025 from 12:00pm-2:00pm at Companion Funeral Home located at 2415 Georgetown Rd. NW Cleveland, TN 37311. A service will follow at 2:00 pm with Pastor Kenneth Bowers Officiating.
