Jerry Harner Obituary
A native of Coffee County, he was born September 7, 1946, to the late Frank and Alene (Cantrell) Harner in Manchester, TN. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine; brother, Vernon Harner; sister, Ann Crosslin, and son Jerry Harner Jr. Jerry served in the US Navy on the USS John F Kennedy Aircraft carrier as a member of the crash crew. Later in life he was a small business owner, fabricating neon signs for local businesses. He was Past Master of Herman Masonic Lodge #239 and a member of Hillsboro Masonic Lodge #382. Jerry was a member of Forest Mills United Methodist Church in Manchester, TN.
Jerry is survived by his sister, Sue Cook; his children, Lorri Pugh, Sherry Harner, Mychelle Yates, Patrick (Amy) Harner, and Andrew (Jada) Harner; grandchildren, Lane (Susan) Davenport, Nicholas Moore, Stefani Harner, Spencer Harner, Danielle Yates, Harley Harner, Joshua "Mill" Harner, Drew Harner, Kyleigh Harner; nieces, nephews and 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be held Thursday, April 20, 2023, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, TN. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 21, 2023, at 2:00pm from the chapel of Central Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Summitville Cemetery.
