Jerry Mack Hatchett was a lifelong resident of Stillwell, OK and recently relocated to Salisaw, OK when he passed away on July 15, 2023. He was born on August 26, 1944 to Mary Jewel and Clebern Hatchett. Jerry married Margaret October 6, 1962 and received Jesus Christ as his savior on December 15, 1974.
After serving in the US Army, Jerry started his business JM Hatchett Construction where he used his skill as a Master Carpenter for over 50 years before retiring in 2021. He was known for always doing whatever it took to take care of his family and was a great protector and provider to his family.
Jerry attended Oak Grove Elementary from kindergarten to eighth grade and graduated from Stilwell High School. Growing up Jerry loved to fish, hunt, and coon hunt with his father and brothers. Jerry never met a stranger and loved to talk and visit with family and friends.
Jerry Hatchett was preceded in death by his parents CB Hatchett and Mary Jewel Hatchett. and his siblings Pauline Ray, CB "Bud" Hatchette, Clyde Ray Hatchette, John Hatchett, and Mary Ann Hatchett.
Jerry Hatchett is survived by his wife of 60 years, Margaret, his children Jerry "Jay" Hatchett and wife Heather Lynn; Greg Hatchett and wife Amy; his grandchildren Amber Hatchett, Micah Hatchett and wife Emily, Charity Hatchett, Kaitlyn Roberts and husband Tyler, Rebekah Reynolds and husband Krys, Hannah Hatchett, Riley Griffen, and Hailey Griffen. Jerry had three great grandchildren Carter Roberts, Lyla Hatchett, and Ryker Reynolds. Jerry is also survived by his siblings Joe Hatchett and Laveta Barker. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Robert's Funeral Home in Stilwell, OK.
