Jerry Wilson Helms of Monroe, North Carolina Born April 7th, 1969 – Passed Away December 20th, 2025 at his father’s house after a long battle with many health issues including diabetes and heart failure. Jerry resided with his mother, Marie Rowell and his nephew, Chris Stegall.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Ben and Myrtie Helms & Ralph Rowell and Evelyn Helms, along with numerous aunts and uncles and other kin.
He is survived by his father Benny Helms and step-mom Cheryl Helms; his mother Marie Rowell, his brother Timmy Helms; as well as his siblings by marriage, Meshelle Price, Beverly Schultz, Marie Blankenbeckler and Bonnie Nikopoulos, and his nephews Christopher Stegall and Blaine Clay; his ex-wife Lori Gaspar and his son Cody Eason.
He was a good son who loved fishing, wrestling, bowling and gaming. He also loved going to church and was always ready to sing a song for the Lord. He was a big teddy bear with a big, kind heart who never met a stranger and talked to everyone along the way.
Jerry will be missed by many friends and family but we rest assured that he is resting in comfort and peace with the Lord that he loved so dear.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the funeral home to help alleviate funeral expenses.
