Jerry Hilsman Obituary
JJoseph Jerry Hilsman, a native of Madison who lived in Morgan County his entire life, passed away Friday, March 17th, 2023, at the age of 80 after a short illness. Jerry started out as a dairy farmer, but later was a grading contractor known for building ponds and lakes around the area. Jerry was also a private pilot and enjoyed flying with his family for many years. Jerry served in the Unites States Army, and was stationed around Europe, but primarily Germany during the Vietnam war era. Jerry is survived by his son Chris Hilsman, daughters Sheramy (Hilsman) Winter, Molly Hilsman, daughter in law Teri Hilsman, and grandchildren Emily and Addison Hilsman. Visitation for Jerry will be held at A E Carter Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 from 5-8pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you support the charity of your choice or give to the Morgan Medical Center Rehabilitation Unit.
