Jerry Dean Hinkle, a hardworking and caring individual, passed away on August 21, 2023. He was born on August 12, 1945, in Poplar Bluff. Throughout his life, Jerry exemplified dedication and strength in all that he did. He will always be remembered for his unwavering love for his family and his numerous accomplishments.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons: Charles Hinkle and Deborah O'Neal and Jerry Hinkle Jr. with wife Ann; Samuel Hinkle; Robert Hinkle; daughter Tammy Faries and Lawrence Turnbough; sisters Judy Hinkle and Ruthie Hinkle; eight grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren. These individuals were privileged to have had Jerry touch their lives, leaving an indelible mark of love and inspiration.
As a beloved father and grandfather, Jerry's proudest accomplishments revolved around his family. He found immense joy in being there for his children and grandchildren and took great pride in watching them grow into exceptional individuals. His legacy will continue through their lives as they carry forward the values he instilled in them.
Jerry is preceded in death by several cherished family members. His sisters Violet Hinkle and Marilyn Hinkle, brothers Jim Hinkle, John Hinkle, David Hinkle, and Mike Hinkle—all of whom he loved dearly. Additionally, his parents Dolly (Volliner) Hinkle and James Hinkle left behind lasting memories of their time together. Jerry was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Dale Marie Hinkle.
Jerry will be remembered as a strong-willed and compassionate man who always put his family first. He will forever be loved and cherished by those fortunate enough to have been a part of his life.
