Jerry M. Jardine, 73, of Michigan City, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025 in DeMotte. He was born on December 27, 1951 in LaPorte to James and Dorothy (Wunder) Jardine. Jerry is survived by his brother Leslie (Kathy) Jardine of Dublin, California, his sister Karen (Robert) Mitchell of Valparaiso, his aunt Joan Smith of Valparaiso, his nieces Amanda (Scott) Chambers, Renee Garcia, and his nephew Jason Mitchell, He is also survived by his cousins Tom Smith of Houston and Bert Smith of Portland. Also surviving him are his stepbrothers Ron and Larry Cota of Michigan City and his long time companion Lolly Perrin of Michigan City. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents James Jardine and Dorothy (Wunder) Cota and his brother Roger Jardine and cousin Scott Smith. He is a U.S. Navy veteran. Memberships include the American Legion Post #37 in Michigan City and the Michigan City D.A.V. Jerry was also a retired Union Electrician. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 14th at Newhard Funeral Home in Westville. Visitation will be from11:00 AM until the time of services. Burial will be in Westville Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the American Legion Post #37 in Michigan City. Jerrys family would like to thank Symphony/Ignite in Chesterton, Aperion Care in DeMotte, Transitions Hospice, Amada Senior Care, and all of Jerrys doctors, nurses, therapists and CNAS.
