Jerry Lee King was born on July 19, 1944, in Marysville, California, to his parents, Roy Wesley King and Twillie Elizabeth Tarrant King. He passed away on January 14, 2026,leaving behind a legacy of love for family, hard work, and the simple pleasures that brought him great joy.
Jerry spent his early years in California and completed his schooling at Woodlake Union High School. Over the years, he lived in Marysville and Woodlake, California, before later making his home in Boise, Idaho.
Jerry worked in the millwork industry, including employment with Wickes Forestry,where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. He took pride in honest labor and in providing for his family.
On July 5, 1962, Jerry married the love of his life, Linda Sue King (Quigley), and together they shared many cherished years. Jerry especially enjoyed spending quiet time at home,sitting in his chair watching television with his wife, Linda, and their beloved dog, Sadie.
Jerry’s hobbies reflected his easygoing nature and love of tradition. He enjoyed arm wrestling, fishing, watching old western movies, spending time with his family, and relaxing with a cold Budweiser.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Linda Sue King; brother Larry King; his children, Denise (Doug), Brenda(Tony), and Monica (Frank); his grandchildren, Heather (Jeramy), Brittany, Eric (Sami), Tyler (Breanna), Riley (Banna), Vincent (Desi), and Christopher (Vanessa); and his great-grandchildren, Brady, Alexis, Conner, Brian, Shaylee, Khloe, Jayce, Lyla, Jack,Rainey, Archie, Adriana, Anthony, and William.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy King; his mother, Twillie King; his sister,Janice Bornand; and his great-grandchild, Hayden Miller.
A public funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 30, 2026, Bowman Funeral Parlor, with a family viewing beginning at 9:00 a.m. The service will be officiated by Jeff Osban of Kingdom Hall.
Jerry will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, and his memory will live on through the many lives he touched.
A public funeral service will be held, 10:00 am, Friday, January 30, 2026 at Bowman Funeral Parlor, 10254 W. Carlton Bay Dr., Garden City, Idaho, with a public viewing beginning at 9:00 am.
