Jerry Glen Lambert, a veteran of the Vietnam War and longtime resident of New Boston, Texas, went home with the Lord on November 10th, 2025 at the age of 78.

Jerry was born in Hubbard, Texas, on August 9, 1947, to Eugene and Irene Lambert and graduated Hubbard High School before enlisting in the U.S. Marines on his eighteenth birthday. Jerry served three tours in Vietnam and was recognized for his honorable service with a Purple Heart.

He returned home and later moved to New Boston where he married Becky Lambert on June 28, 1975. He loved the Lord and was a preacher at the Church of God of the United Assembly for many years. He attended East Texas State and graduated with a degree in Accounting. Jerry spent over 30 years working for the Defense Logistics Agency at Red River Army Depot, where he enjoyed playing dominoes on breaks with his coworkers. He loved working out at Planet Fitness, playing Sudoku, watching old westerns, the summertime, and peanut butter crackers with a Dr. Pepper.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert, Kenneth, Wilburn; a sister, Helen; and son, Todd. Those left to honor his memory are his wife Becky and daughters April Stover (Mike) and Destiny; granddaughters Adrieana, Rebecca and Keylie; great-grandchildren Avalynn, Andrew, Aubrey, Alaya, Renji, and expected great-grandson Alexander all of Fort Worth, Texas.

Jerry will be remembered for his great humor, easy-going personality and unconditional love for his family. His wit and wisdom were gifts to everyone who knew him.

Memorial services are to be announced at a later date.
