Jerry Lane Obituary

Jerry graduated from Newport High School in 1982 and joined the Army National Guard. After 24 years of service, he retired and was transferred to the United States Army Retired Reserve on March 6, 2006. Jerry worked for several years at the family business, Lane's Auto Parts, before moving on to O'Reilly Auto Parts, where he continued to work until his retirement.
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping.
Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Cathy J. (Strickland) Lane; and his father, Jerry Elbert Lane.
He is survived by his daughter, Chloe Lane of Searcy; his mother, Patty Lane of Newport; his brother, Preston Lane of Newport; his closest friends, Zach and Marcia Curtner of Newport; many cousins, and extended family and friends.
Graveside services are at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Walnut Grove Cemetery with Bro. Ferrell Wiggins officiating.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Greg Burgin, Russell Burgin, Scott Bradley, and Bronson Cathey. Honorary pallbearers are Jason Hopkins, J.B. Taylor, and Zach Curtner.
