Jerry A. Layton, 91, of Collinsville, IL, born Friday, July 24, 1931, in East St. Louis, IL, passed away Friday, March 31, 2023 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in O'Fallon, IL.
Jerry worked as a Maintenance Director at General Grocer in charge of the Shop-n-Save stores. He was a member of Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Maryville, IL, VFW Post #5691 Collinsville, IL and American Legion Post #365 Collinsville, IL, He was a die hard St. Louis Cardinal Fan and a United States Korean War Army Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his:

Parents: Joseph Otto and Edna, nee Rankin, Layton
Son-in-law: Ronald Mantle

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the American Legion #365 in Collinsville, IL.
Visitation: Visitation from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm, Monday, April 10, 2023 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL.
Funeral: Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm, Monday, April 10, 2023 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Rev. Ken York officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
