Jerry Locklear Obituary
Jerry was employed with Lumber River Electric Co. for 31 years. Brother Jerry taught the Young Adults Class at Galilee Baptist Church for many years. He loved gardening and harvesting his vegetables. He loved and enjoyed attending car races at Rockingham and showcasing his truck at several car shows with his son Terrilen.
He is preceded in death by his son: Terrilen Locklear; his granddaughter: Latasha Gail Lowery; his mother: Viola Locklear McGirt and his grandparents: Roosevelt and Emma Locklear.
Mr. Jerry leaves to cherish his memories, his wife: Darlene Locklear of the home; two daughters: Gwendolyn Cole (Edgar) of Red Springs and Kimberlyn Locklear of the home; two grandsons: Jonathan R. Lowery and Brandon R. Lowery; four granddaughters: Vanessa G. Lowery, Jasmine N. Locklear, Meagan S. Locklear and Darlicia T. Locklear; one brother: Graylen McGirt (Rosa) of Lumberton and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 from 1-2 P.M. at Galilee Baptist Church. The funeral will begin immediately following the visitation beginning at 2 P.M. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
