Jerry Thomas Lucas, 70, of Elm City passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2024. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Jerry’s Life will be held on Friday evening, September 6, 2024, from 6 – 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
He loved spending time with his family, especially his twin grandsons, and enjoyed traveling to the mountains and beach. Jerry retired from Parker Tech Inc.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Evelyn “Bonnie” Lucas; daughter, Amber Herring and husband, Brandon of Wilson; his twin grandsons, Braydon Herring and Damien Herring of Wilson and his brother, David Lucas and wife, Connie of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Duane Lucas; parents, Frank and Lucille Lucas; sisters, Ann Sinclair and Faye Barker, and his brother, Don Lucas.
In lieu of flowers please consider memorials in Jerry’s memory to Fike High School Athletic Booster Club, 500 Harrison Drive, Wilson, North Carolina 27893.
