Jerry Edward Martin, of Bladenboro, passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at the age of 61. He was born on November 21, 1961 in Robeson County son of Edward Jerome Martin and Betty Parker Martin.
Jerry was a loving son, uncle, husband, father, and grandfather. He cherished his family especially his granddaughter who was the apple of his eye. Jerry enjoyed fishing, drag car racing, hanging with friends and working on cars. He will be missed by all that knew him.
Jerry is survived by his mother Betty P. Bass of Lumberton, his wife Helen B. Martin of the home, son Jeromy Martin (Wendy) of Clarkton, granddaughter Mileigh Martin, sister Vickie Martin Britt (H.T.) of Lumberton, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, and his brother, Dennis Jerome Martin.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday January 28, 2023 at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with the Reverend Ronnie Brisson and Reverend Elvin Meares officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Funeral Fund of Jerry Martin c/o Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home, P.O. Box 3150, Elizabethtown, NC 28337.
