Funeral services for Jerry "Ricky" McAdams will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 12, 2023, at the chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home, Columbia, LA with Bro. Warren Maxwell officiating. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Tullos, Louisiana. The family will have visitation Thursday, May 11, 2023, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home.
Jerry Richard "Ricky" McAdams, age 63 of West Monroe, LA passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023. Ricky was born to the union of his parents, Jerry McAdams and Elizabeth Smith McAdams on February 14, 1960 in Dugway Proving Ground, Utah and was raised in Tullos, La. Ricky was preceded in death by his brother, Curtis Wayne McAdams; father, Jerry D. McAdams; paternal grandparents, maternal grandparents; and his step-father, Jackie Ray Hayden.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Liz Hayden; sons: Kyle McAdams (Megan), Kody McAdams (Stephanie); daughters: Kara McAdams (Chris), Sara Carpenter (Josh); grandchildren: Makenzlie Johnson, Christin McAdams, Madden McAdams, Gavin Carpenter, Landyn McAdams, Kash McAdams, Paisley McAdams, Coltyn Pittman, Lakelyn Pittman, and Lainey McAdams; and his uncle, Dale Smith (Janice).
Ricky loved his children and his grandchildren very much. He was a mechanic that could fix almost any vehicle. He loved his grandchildren visiting the shop so he could show them how to work on cars like PawPaw. His hobbies include watching the news, spending time with the family, fishing, and relaxing with a cold drink. He loved watching wheel of fortune every night with his mother. Ricky will be greatly missed by all that loved him.
Pallbearers include Kody McAdams, Kyle McAdams, Chris Pittman, Blake Cooper, Jesse Whittenberg, Rob Laird, Richie Minchew, and Gary Bonner.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Riser Funeral Home, PO BOX 57, Columbia, La 71418 or by phone (318) 649-2311.
