JERRY DON McNEILL, 80, beloved husband of Mary Suggs McNeill, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, May 22, 2025 in Aiken Regional Medical Center.
A native of Asheboro, NC, Jerry was a son of the late Julia Ann Jerrell McNeil. He grew up in North Carolina and worked for High Polint Fixtures before moving to Aiken in 1974. Jerry worked for and retired from Colonial Equipment and Kimberly Clark. He also owned McNeil Tub and Shower Repair. He was a dedicated member of Harvest Baptist Church.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of 60 years, Mary, include his son, James McNeill (Kelley); his daughter, Wendy Britt (Jason Martin), all of Aiken; six grandchildren, Shawn McNeill (Erica), Kellen Hatcher, River Roberts, Cody McNeill (Summer), Savanna McNeill (Lawrence Godja). He is also survived by his sister, Wanda Stanley (Doc); brothers, Bobby Sanders (Frankie), Richard Jerrell (Lori), all of High Point, NC and his loyal companion and best friend, his schnauzer “Smokie”
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Dustin Roberts.
The family will receive friends Tuesday morning, May 27th beginning at 11 o’clock at Harvest Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at noon with The Rev. Glen Davis officiating. Interment will be in Aiken Memorial Gardens.
