Judith D. McNeill

Judith D. McNeill passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026, at the age of 85.

Beloved sister and best friend of the late Shirley Cusatis. Loving mother of Jeff Garvin, Carl McNeill, Shane McNeill, and the late Shannon Rose. Cherished grandmother of Laurie, James, Jessica, Nicholas, Justin, Brooklyn, Jeremy, Austin, Zac, Noah, Olivia, Shelby, Ethan, Dominic, Savanna, and the late Michael and Megan. Proud great-grandmother of 12.

Judy grew up in the Detroit area and graduated from Servite High School. She continued her education at the University of Detroit, earning a bachelor's degree, and later received her master's degree from Central Michigan University. Judy began her career teaching at St. Sylvester, a profession she deeply loved. Wanting to better provide for her family, she later began a career with General Motors, where she worked for many years and eventually retired as a General Manager.

Judy had a deep love for animals, especially dogs, cats, and wolves. In her later years, she enjoyed traveling and experiencing the world. Some of her favorite destinations included Lourdes in France, the temples in Egypt, and watching wildlife in Africa. At home, Judy enjoyed reading-especially Reader's Digest-and listening to books on tape. She also had a love for fast cars and was fondly remembered as a fast driver who especially enjoyed her sports cars.

Faith, family, friends, animals, and her career were the cornerstones of Judy's life. Above all, she loved her family and will be remembered as someone who enjoyed being with people and sharing laughter.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 20, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 13650 E. Fifteen Mile Road, Sterling Heights, MI.

A Funeral Mass will take place Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with Instate beginning at 10:30 a.m., at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 31555 Hoover Road, Warren, MI.

Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan.

In lieu of flowers, donations to or volunteering at the Humane Society would be appreciated by Judy's family.
