Jerry Jackson Mobley, age 81, of Westville, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, Arkansas.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Roberts & Hart Funeral Home in Westville, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 31, with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Jerry was born on June 25, 1944, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, to Joe and Dessie (Huffman) Mobley. He spent his early years in Sapulpa and California, and attended school in Sapulpa. After school, Jerry worked on a farm and as a truck driver before beginning a long career with the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, from which he later retired.
On September 11, 1973, Jerry married Reba Stacks in Carson City, Nevada. The couple lived in Modesto, California, before eventually settling in Arkansas. Jerry enjoyed fishing, camping, coon hunting, playing guitar, and traveling to California.
He is survived by his loving wife, Reba Mobley, of the home; his children: Janet Hoffman and husband Jeff of Arkansas, Jerry Mobley (Marty) and wife Beth of Arkansas, Michael Mobley and wife Paula of Arkansas, Wendy Lemmon of Kansas, Michelle Wall and husband Ron of Arkansas, Lisa Black and husband Terry of Oklahoma, and Brandy Hopson and husband Michael of Arkansas. Jerry was also blessed with 21 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Dessie Mobley; three brothers; and one grandson.
Pallbearers will be Jerry’s son, Marty Mobley; sons-in-law, Jeff Hoffman and Michael Hopson; grandsons, Hunter Jones, Jared Candle, and Tony Kettakoune; and close family friend, Eugene Bentley.
Jerry will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.
