Jerry Scott Mounce

Jerry Scott Mounce (Scott), age 53, of Falls of Rough, passed away early Tuesday morning, February 24, 2026, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Scott was born on March 17, 1972, in Somerset, Kentucky, the son of Gerald Mounce and the late Patty Calhoun Harlan.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his sister, Jesse Kresak (Chris) of Florida; his brother, Danny Simpson Jr. of Elizabethtown; his sons, Brandon Mounce (Brittany), Matthew Norwood, and Andrew Norwood, all of Indiana; his daughter, Adriana Cooper of Florida; and his granddaughter, Navayah Mounce of Indiana.
Scott was preceded in death by his mother; his sister, Lisa Mahoney; his brother, Michael Mounce; and his son, CJ Hickman.
Scott chose to register as an organ donor. Because of his selfless decision, several individuals and families have been given renewed hope and a second chance at life. We will miss him dearly, but we take comfort in knowing that, even in passing, Scott's legacy will live on through the recipients of his generous gift.
In keeping with Scott's wishes, cremation has been chosen, with a Celebration of Life service to be held at a later date. Scott's cremated remains will be placed next to his mother at Lakeside Memorial Gardens in Somerset, Kentucky.
