Rodney Estil Willis

Rodney Estil Willis, age 85 of Falls of Rough, KY, passed away February 15, 2026, at his residence. He was born in the Rockvale community of Breckinridge County on October 6, 1940, son of the late James and Thelma Midkiff Willis. He was a member of the Baptist faith, attended Corinth Baptist Church and shared his faith on many overseas mission trips.

Rodney was a retired school bus mechanic with the Breckinridge County Board of Education. He was a former FSA and SCS Board member. His passion was farming, especially raising cattle and producing sorghum for many years.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by four siblings: Flora Mae Ball, Curtis, Baynard and Ronald Willis.

Rodney is survived by Nancy, his wife of almost 64 years.

3 children: Mona Norris (Colby) of Bowling Green, KY; Alice Burks (Terry) of Scottsville, KY and Eric Willis (Sharon) of Harned, KY.

5 grandchildren: Grant Phelps (Hannah), Blake Phelps (Catherine), Jordan Willis, Morgan McManaway (Zach), Bella Zang

4 great grandchildren: Fallon, Chloe and Myra Phelps, Nova Pepine

1 sister: Fay Hall of Hardinsburg, KY

Funeral services will be held at Macedonia Baptist Church on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 11 AM with burial in the Willis Farm Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Tuesday, 3 – 7 PM and Wednesday at the church, 9 – 11 AM.
