Gerald "Jerry" Fritzges Heidecker, age 77, of Asheboro received his homegoing July 1, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 29, 1947 in Erie County, Pennsylvania the son of the late Oscar Henry Heidecker and Katherine Fritzges Heidecker. Jerry served in the United States Airforce and was a Tool and Die Mold Maker for over 50 years. He was the spiritual leader of his home and a faithful member of Browers Wesleyan Church of Asheboro. He had a spirit that kept us all laughing and was devoted to his family and friends. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Cindy Reisinger Heidecker; son, Keith Lee Heidecker; daughter, Kelly Heidecker Craven and husband Alan Brent Craven; brother, James Oscar Heidecker and wife Patricia D. Heidecker; grandchildren, Katherine Mary Craven, Arianna Rochelle Heidecker, Sean Hunter Craven (Hayley Snow), James Henry Heidecker, Oliver Perry Heidecker, Tiffany Hulin, Megan Cheek and Sarah Elliott; and numerous other family and friends. A memorial service will be held 5 PM Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Browers Wesleyan Church, 1734 Mack Road, Asheboro NC 27205. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The family would like to thank the Verterans Affairs Office, Grand Strand Medical, Duke Cancer Center, Hospice of the Piedmont and several other care givers for the attention and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers memorials donations may be made to the Youth Program of Browers Wesleyan Church.
