Jerry Paul Obituary
Mr. Paul, age 79 of Hessmer, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Our Lady of the Lake St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales.
Jerry retired from the military after serving 18 years in the U.S. Air Force and 2 years in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart along with numerous other awards. He was a loving husband, daddy, brother and friend.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Carol Ann Redmon Paul; his parents, William and Lily Mae Ferguson Paul; daughter, Jackie Paul; and siblings, Charles Rufus Paul, William Paul, and Margaret Ann Delvecchio.
Survivors include his daughter, Dawn Renee Paul Barker and husband Steve of Gonzales; brother, Bobby Paul of Alexandria; sister, Dola Mae Paul Villarreal of Austin, TX; his grandchildren, Brandon Debebar, Corey Debebar, Kelsey Robert, Tiffany Hathcox, and Camryn Barker; and great-grandchildren, Knox Robert, Krue Robert, Marlie Hathcox and Kenlee Robert.
Pallbearers include: Steve Barker, Kody Robert, Chino Torres, Brandon Debebar, Al Mottle, and Jacob Hathcox.
Friends may visit on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
