Jerry Sanchez, 57, of Los Luceros, NM, went to be with the Lord on August 24, 2023. Anyone who had the privilege to know Jerry would say he had a big heart and loved doing for anyone around him. Jerry was very kind and giving. Jerry loved fishing, dancing, going to concerts, and having breakfast with his buddies. He loved his racehorses and taking pictures in the winner’s circle. You could always find Jerry doing his S&S pumping services and selling chicos. Jerry will be missed by many.
Jerry is preceded in death by paternal grandparents Fedelina and Armando Sanchez, maternal grandparents Ruby and Isador Velarde.
Jerry is survived by parents Linda and Armando Sanchez Jr., son Jerry Alejandro Sanchez and fiancé Luisa Marie Vasquez, granddaughter Luciana Grace Vasquez Sanchez, fiancé Nellie Herrera, stepson Willie serrano, niece Santana Martinez whom he considered a daughter, sisters Rachel and Debbie Sanchez, brothers Jesse (Kika) Sanchez, Jamez Sanchez, nephew Brandon Sanchez, niece Hannah Sanchez, lots of Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, and pets: his dogs Bon Bons and Creed.
Pallbearers will be Benny Martinez, Johnny Chavez, Joe Archuleta, Frankie Martinez III, Rick Jimenez, Michael Jimenez.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Saby Gurule, Toby Gurule, Abe Montoya, Joseph Garcia, Harold Sanchez, Johnny Sanchez.
Services will be on September 5, 2023 at the St. Johns Baptist in San Juan Pueblo. Family Viewing at 10:30 am. Rosary will be at 11:00 am. Funeral Mass will be at 11:30 am. Burial to follow mass at La Villita Cemetery.
