Dean Borgstrom, age 73, of Espanola, NM, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026.
He was born in Fullerton, CA and attended Katella High School in Anaheim, CA. Growing up in Anaheim, California, he transitioned to Espanola, NM where he lived his life to the fullest. He worked for the Santa Fe Court System and held the title of Bailiff, as well as Judicial Clerk
Dean was quite creative, while still working, he would make beautiful handmade knives, then sell them to judges, lawyers and co-workers, he also loved woodworking and would make presentation cases for his knives. After retiring, he took up welding and made wonderful imaginary animals, insects and whatever else he could envision with found objects. He also enjoyed fishing and camping in his travel trailer. Dean was well liked by all, especially the neighborhood kids who would run over to him just to say “Hi”.
Dean Borgstrom is survived by his Sister Linda and Brother-in-law Gary. He is further survived by nephews, a niece, other relatives, friends and his best friend “JR”.
