Benny Baca

Benny B. Baca, 76, of Albuquerque, NM passed away on February 27, 2026 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family.

Benny also known as “Boy”was born on August 19, 1949 in Albuquerque, NM to Tito Baca and Beatrice Myers.
As a young man he served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam war veteran.

Benny enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, or sitting in his garage. For this reason, he was loved by all his neighbors and formed many close relationships over the years wherever he lived. Benny was always willing to help anyone who needed it.

But above all else, his greatest joy was being a Dad & “Tata” to his grandchildren.

He is survived by spouse Laura Maestas Baca, daughter Ashley Baca and son in law Jerry Martinez, grandchildren Dominic Baca, Jaylah Martinez, and Noah Martinez, siblings Johnny Griego and wife Lillian Griego, Deluvina Carbajal, and Albert Baca and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and many friends.

Benny was preceded in death by his parents Tito and Beatrice, siblings Joey Baca, Marylou Ames, Tito Baca Jr, Alfred Baca, 4 step brothers and 2 step sisters.

A memorial service will be held on March 27th at 11:00 am at Trujillo Family Funeral Home Chapel.

Benny will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
