Jerry M Spears

Jerry M. Spears, 77 of Crawfordville, passed away peacefully at home on December 26, 2023. Jerry was a lifelong resident of Wakulla County. He was raised and worked on his family's farm. He also worked as a representative for Morman Feed Company; and he worked for the United States Postal Service for 20 years. He enjoyed raising calves and he was a skilled horseman. Jerry was Lay Pastor at Riversink Baptist Church for many years and Lead Pastor at Panacea Park Baptist church for 10 years. He was currently serving as Sunday School teacher at Grace Baptist Church. He loved to fish, especially with his wife and grandchildren. Jerry leaves behind his loving wife of 40 years, Phyllis Spears; children, Travis Tully (Sherry) and Cathy Nelson (Tim); brother, Danny Spears (Lana); sister-in-law, Charlene Spears; and grandchildren, Kyle Killion, Alex Paul Nelson, Morgan Olivia Nelson, and Matthew Perry Nelson. Visitation will be held Sunday, December 31, 2023 from 2:00-3:00 pm at Grace Baptist Church. Funeral Service will begin at 3:00 pm. He will be laid to rest at Duggar Cemetery.
