Jerry Clifford Stevens (78), of Pegram, Tennessee, passed away on January 4, surrounded by his family. He was born September 2, 1945, in Centerville, Tennessee. Before his retirement, he worked for 30 years for the U.S. Postal Service in Brentwood. For over two decades he enjoyed coaching local Little League teams and leading Bible studies for adults. He was instrumental in helping his son launch Friendship Community Church in Mount Juliet. He currently attended First Baptist Church of Dickson.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Lynda; two children, Todd Stevens (Erin) and Amy Radford (Don). He was known as “granddaddy” to his three grandsons, Elijah, Daniel, and Levi Stevens. He is also survived by his brother Billy Stevens (Mary Ella) and many nieces and nephews, who each thought they were his favorite. Jerry was predeceased by his parents, Valley and Gertie May Stevens, two brothers, Roy (Jimmie) and Arthur (Kathy) Stevens, and sister, Norma Chambers (Austin).
Jerry’s laugh was contagious. He loved telling jokes and stories, which he inflicted on anyone who would listen. He had a heart for serving others and participated in numerous community outreach projects through his church.
Visitation will be on Sunday, January 7, 2024, from 1:00pm until 5:00pm and on Monday, January 8, from 1:00pm until the time of service.
Funeral will be held at 2:00pm at Spann Funeral Home, 1961 Hwy 48 North, Dickson, TN.

The family will have a private burial at 11:00am on Tuesday, January 9, at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens in Nashville, TN.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN.
