Lisa Arlene Smith, age 62, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away peacefully from this life on February 12, 2026, at her home.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in Memory Gardens in Centerville, Tennessee. A visitation will also be held on Wednesday, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Lisa was born on March 5, 1963, in Dickson, Tennessee, and was the daughter of the late LC and Ester Rosson Smith. Lisa found joy in life’s simple pleasures.
She loved going thrifting and yard-saling with her sisters, spending summer days on the creek bank working on her suntan while the children played nearby and relaxing with word-search puzzles in her free time. She had a true green thumb and took great pride in caring for her rosebushes, whose blooms grew “as big as apples,” and in raising her tomato plants.
Above all else, Lisa’s greatest joy came from loving her grandchildren and proudly serving as the family’s “head babysitter.” Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and unconditional love, and her nurturing spirit touched everyone who passed through her life.
She is survived by her daughter, Jessica (Tyler) Hargrove; her sisters, Elaine (Tommy) Fuller and Helen (Ricky) White; her brother, Wayne Smith; and her adopted-in-love children, Glenda Beard, Kandice Wilcox, Leslee Golden, and Staci McGrew; her grandchildren she loved dearly, Amelia, Ryker, Astoria, and Jaycee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Lisa was preceded in death by her life partner, Jake Travis; her sisters, Martha Burrow, Brenda Bobo, and Francis Tidwell; her brother, Eugene Smith; her in-laws, Gene Burrow and Tommy Fuller; her nephew, Robert Walker; and her adopted-in-love daughter, Darian Doner.
Pallbearers will be Linnie, Edgar, Jordan, Austin, Tim, Justin, Rowdy, and Waylon. Honorary pallbearers will include Zac, Bubba, Billy Robert, Brian, and Tyler.
Lisa will be remembered for her warm heart, her devotion to family, and the quiet strength with which she cared for those she loved. Her memory will live on in the lives she shaped and the love she so freely gave.
