Jerry Doyle Stigall, 91 of Independence, Kansas passed away on Monday July 15, 2024, at Labette Health in Parsons, Kansas.Funeral services will be Friday July 19th at 10:00am at Webb & Rodrick Chapel & Crematory with military burial to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Independence, KS. The family will greet visitors on Thursday July 18th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Webb & Rodrick Chapel & Crematory. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, Kansas Children’s Service League or AWOL. Jerry was born February 12th, 1933, in Niangua, Missouri at home to Russell Otis “Jack” and Mabel Emma (Blanchard) Stigall. He moved with his family to Parsons, Kansas in 1942 where he attended school and graduated from Parsons High School in 1951. Jerry was united in marriage to Donna Jo (Eakins) Stigall on September 3, 1955. He graduated from Findley Engineering College in Kansas City, MO in 1957 with a degree in electrical engineering.He worked for Sinclair then ARCO Pipeline Company in the telecommunications department. He enjoyed golf, watching sports and traveling during his retirement. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Independence, KS. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, wife Donna Stigall, sister Jacky Carpenter, brother Joel Stigall and nephew Steve Campbell. Those left to cherish his memory include son Christopher “Chris” Stigall and partner Tom Cali of Grapevine, TX, daughter Jonna (Stigall) Weimer and husband Jeff Weimer of Independence, KS, his brother Rev James “Jim” Stigall and wife Jo Ann Stigall of Ottawa, KS, sister-in-law Bobbie Campbell and husband Jim of Parsons, KS and sister-in-law Patty Edgington and husband Dave of Lake Jackson, TX and many nephews and nieces.To leave a special message for the family please visit www.webbrodrickchapel.com
