Funeral services for Jerry Robert Teer, 80, will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery, 3700 St. Vincent Ave. in Shreveport. A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Officiating the services will be Reverend Chad Hardbarger.
Jerry was born on November 16, 1944, in Jefferson, Texas to Sammie Jackson Teer and Louise Scarbrough Teer. He passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Jerry was a resident of DeSoto Parish, Louisiana. He was a graduate of Byrd High School and worked as a welder before retiring from Alloy Piping Products. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and loved his New Orleans Saints! Most of all he loved his family!
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Sam Teer and Louise Smith; and wife, Cheryl Diane Teer. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Jerry R. Teer, Jr. and wife, Sebrina; daughters, Jolyn R. Teer; Tina S. Culver and husband, Stephen, Kristi Lee and fiancé, Todd Davis, and stepdaughter, Randi True and husband, Chris; grandchildren, Bradley, Brandon, Tyler and wife, Ashley, Ryan and wife, Taylor, Chanler and fiancé Brittney, Cameron and fiancé Alysah, Lauren and fiancé Bryce, Megan, Jacob, Morgan, Lindsey, and Garrett; nine great-grandchildren, Luke, Taytum, Alexis (Lexi), Brianna, Arya, Blakely, Kaida, Revan, Theodore (Theo), and Lawson; sisters, Alicia Lewis and husband, Tony and Margaret Creedon and husband, Michael.
Honoring Jerry as pallbearers will be Chanler Lee, Cameron Lee, Bradley Teer, Brandon Teer, Tyler Teer, Ryan Teer, Todd Davis, and Bryce Hardbarger. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Jacob Culver.
