Jerry Earl Weaver, 83, died peacefully on November 15, 2025, in Albertville, Alabama. Jerry was born in Marshall County to Samuel Earl Ernest and Helen Weaver.

Jerry was a devoted husband, Dad, Granddad, and Brother. He retired from management at Tyson Foods (formerly Hudson Foods) 19 years ago. He was a well-respected and valued employee. His presence was definitely known when he came through the plant with his entourage in tow. He led with a firm but fair hand. Jerry lived a life of love and hard work. He was lovingly known as "Poppa Jo" / "Pops" by his 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. His happiest times were spent with his "Bride," sharing a cigar with his grandsons, sitting on the porch with his family, watching Alabama football and Gunsmoke, and feeding his dog, Jax.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Donald; grandson, Cameron Blake Weaver; brothers Michael, Randy, and Mark Weaver; and son-in-law, David Lancaster.

Jerry is survived by his beautiful, loving wife of 65 years, Joann Malone Weaver; daughters Jana (Jerry) Ponder, Joanna Lancaster, Angel (Richie) O'Connor; son Jeremy (Julia) Weaver; brothers Larry (Jeanne), Steve (Kathy), Jeff (Michelle) Weaver; and sister-in-law Kay (Tim) Lewis.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Adams Brown Service Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service time, beginning at 12:00 PM at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons: Jerry Ponder, Seth Lancaster, Jake Ponder, Zachary Weaver, Ezra Weaver, and Grayson O'Connor. Honorary pallbearers are Jeff Lancaster, Isaac Scroggins, and Drake Ponder.

Jerry leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and memories. He will be missed by all who loved him. Services entrusted to the care of Adams Brown Service Funeral Home.
