Cletus Dean Weaver

Cletus Dean Weaver, 87, of Quincy, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, November 20th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at the Putnam County Hospital in Greencastle.
He was born on February 24th, 1938, in Morgan County, Indiana, to Harry and Mary Catherine (Davis) Weaver. Cletus spent most of his life in Morgan County before settling in Quincy in 2005. In 1998, he retired from Farm Bureau Co-Op in Indianapolis after more than 35 years of dedicated work as a forklift operator.
On January 18th, 1958, Cletus married the love of his life, Wilma Jean (Hatton) Weaver. They shared 66 years of marriage before her passing on May 10th, 2024 the two were a match made in heaven and Cletus cherished the life they built together.
Cletus was a man who found true joy in the outdoors. He especially loved fishing and hunting, whether it was squirrel, rabbit, mushroom, or ginseng. He enjoyed tending to both vegetable and flower gardens, and he took pleasure in feeding and watching the birds that visited his yard. Beyond the outdoors, Cletus also enjoyed bowling and spent many years playing men's softball.
He is survived by his three daughters, Deana (Dean) Scott of Quincy, IN; Kathy Kershaw of Cloverdale, IN; and Betsy Weaver of Greenwood, IN; his sister, Becky Peters of Mooresville, IN; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Along with his parents and beloved wife, Cletus was preceded in death by his only son, Cletus Shawn Weaver in 2018; his sister, Peggy Fultz; and two brothers, Harry and Larry Weaver.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, November 25th, 2025, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Neal & Summers Funeral and Cremation Center in Martinsville. A service celebrating Cletus's life and legacy will begin immediately following the visitation at 1:00 PM and he will be laid to rest following the service in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Monrovia, Indiana.
