F. Charlene Dixon

Beloved mother, grandma, great-grandma, and sister, F. Charlene Dixon, 93 years old, a Greenfield, Indiana resident, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, November 18th, 2025, at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield with loved ones by her side. Charlene was one of eight children born to the late Ola and Ruby Stevens. She was born Sunday, April 10th, 1932, in Morgan County, Indiana. She was raised and spent her childhood in Morgan County before moving to Indianapolis, where she would make her home for most of her life. Charlene was a proud graduate of Paragon High School. She was a dedicated employee of Eli Lilly for over 30 years before retiring. Not one to sit idle, after retirement she enjoyed greeting customers with a smile at Meijer in Cumberland, Indiana. Charlene loved traveling, especially to Florida, and found great joy in her church. She was a devoted member of Brandywine Community Church in Greenfield. She leaves behind her loving family, who will forever cherish her memory including her son, Terry Dixon of Greenfield, Indiana; brothers, Ola Stevens, Jr. (wife, Brenda) of Martinsville, Indiana, and Leroy Stevens of Greenwood, Indiana; sister, Janice Hamilton of Greenwood, Indiana; two grandsons; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters, as well as her parents. Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, November 26th, 2025, from 10:00 am–11:00 a.m. at Neal & Summers Funeral & Cremation Center. A service celebrating her life will begin at 11:00 a.m., immediately following the visitation, at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Samaria Cemetery in Paragon, Indiana.
