Jay Potter Obituary

He was born Monday, January 19, 1970 to the late Ira S. Potter, Jr. and Brenda Jo (Sheeks) Potter in Martinsville.
Jay was a graduate of Martinsville High School and went on to work as an engineer for several places including Twigg and Russell's Tube Forming. Jay loved being outside and enjoyed camping and fishing. He was a skilled guitar player and cook and loved going on trips with Leah, especially to Louisiana.
He is survived by his wife, Leah A. (Lewis) Potter, who he married April 20, 1990; son, Brenton Potter (Jerrica); stepson, Quinton Finch (Lola); grandchildren, Heather and Jaidyn.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Ira and Brenda.
Visitation is 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at Costin Funeral Chapel.
