Jerry "Mark" White January 18, 1969 – October 24, 2025
His mom loves to tell the story of his birth because he surprised the Doctors with a very fast entry into this world. His Aunt Lynn was with his mom during the labor and had to yell to get the nurses. She continued to be there for him throughout his life. According to his mom, his sister at three years old, loved taking care of her new baby brother. Little did she know she would be teased, picked at, and scared by his many pranks in later years.
His parents, Jerry Wayne White and Patricia Hammac (White) Stone, raised him and his sister Michele in Flomaton, Alabama. As a kid, he loved playing outside with his matchbox cars and riding his go-cart. He played baseball and football in the Century little league. His love of the outdoors continued as he grew older and learned to fish and hunt. He was a Rammer Jammer Roll Tide Fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR. Mark had a big heart and would help anyone and give the last dollar he had if they needed it. In his younger years, he attended Tabernacle Baptist Church and Faith Baptist Church. In later years, Liberty Baptist Church. He attended Century Christian School, Tabernacle Christian Academy and Flomaton High School. He earned his Electronics & Computer Science degree at Reid State Technical College and graduated with honors. He worked in the construction field and in the welding industry and later got his Commercial Driver's License and drove both locally and cross-country.
He married Loutishia (Tisha) Roberson White and was blessed with three Step-daughters: Haley Coleman and Hanna and Charley Boutwell.
At age 56, he suffered a seizure and was diagnosed Stage 4 Lung Cancer that had metastasized. He underwent brain surgery. As the fighter that he was, he chose to try Chemo Therapy and Radiation. This therapy helped kill his cancer, but also wreaked havoc on his body. Through all this, he learned to reach to the cross and hold on tight to Jesus. His family saw God provide and walk before them throughout this season of suffering. Mark had agony, not only from his physical condition, but he had remorse that Satan wouldn't let him forget, BUT JESUS' BLOOD COVERED ALL THOSE SCARS and now Mark is free from those memories forever. Mark wanted his friends and family to come to know his LORD & SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST. He was hospitalized multiple times and sometimes, even though in pain, he would try to make those caring for him smile when they entered his room. He lost his brave battle against cancer and went to see his Savior Jesus Christ on October 24, 2025.
