Jerry D. Wilkinson, 84, Friendly, WV, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. Born in Barberton, OH, on July 8, 1941, he was the son of the late William Afton and Dorothy Mildred Hercules Wilkinson. He was as truck driver for many years for Commercial Lovelace out of Akron, OH, and worked for the State Hospital in Cambridge, OH. Jerry was a member of Mt. Nebo Church of Christ, where he was a trustee.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Janet Scott Wilkinson; one daughter, Dottie (George) Ayers; two step-children, Christopher Aaron (Sarah) Feick, and Jeremy Daniel (Christina) Feick; six grandchildren, Briana Nichole Deem, Christian Dennis Wilkinson, Jeron Afton Wilkinson, Schuyler McCormick, Tad (Sally) Ayers, and Nicole (Chad) Thomas; nine step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Jody (Dave Ellsworth) Starling; two brothers, Ronnie Wilkinson, and Tom (Marilyn) Wilkinson; two daughters-in-law, Sandy Wilkinson, and Cindy Wilkinson; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sons, Huck "Bill" and Chip "Jerry" Wilkinson.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 Sunday, July 27, 2025 at Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, WV. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Finch, WV. Friends may call from 12 to 2 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
