Jerry Dale Zancauske

Jerry Dale Zancauske, age 89, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Toivola, Minn., on February 22, 2026.

He was born on November 16, 1936, in Brentwood, Mo., to Zane and Virginia (Sweeney) Zancauske. He lived most of his life in St. Louis, Mo., where he worked for 35 years at Midco Sales and Service dealing with mobile equipment parts. In 1991 he and his family moved to Toivola, Minn., because he was recruited by Domex Sales and Service in Hibbing and he enjoyed working there until he retired in 2009. Throughout the years he enjoyed boating, water-skiing, fly fishing, gardening, lawncare and working on his vehicles. He had the ability to fix anything around his home. He was a member of Grace Bible Church in Cherry, Minn., for many years. He was a devoted father to his five children. He was married to his second wife, Barbara, for 55 years. He made many trips in the US in his RV, and also travelled to Europe, Puerto Rico and took cruises to Alaska and in the Mediterranean. He even visited his extended family in Lithuania. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, dedication to family and sense of humor.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife Barbara (Keil) Zancauske; his children, Cheryl Strothkamp of Sullivan, MO, Keith (Chris) Zancauske of Sullivan, MO, Amber (Sean) Holt of Chisholm, MN and Shawn (Sarah) Zancauske of Buhl, MN; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and nephews and a niece.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Jackie Zancauske; son Kurt Dale Zancauske and his in-laws Albert and Geneva Keil.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2026, at Chisholm Baptist Church with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Dan Erickson will officiate. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Chisholm, Minn.
