Jess B. Crompton, 67, of Evanston, passed away on April 11, 2025, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born September 29, 1957, in Evanston, Wyoming to William Lester and Ila Marie (Clark) Crompton. His career spanned over twenty years as a safety consultant in the oil fields.
Jess had a love for the outdoors, especially camping, fishing, and hunting during his time off from work. His passion for travel also allowed him to explore the beauty of nature beyond the borders of his beloved Wyoming.
Jess is survived by his wife, Betty Crompton, daughters, Michelle and Shane Degnan, and Glenda and Gary Danne. He is also remembered by his brothers, Jerry and Raelynn Crompton, and Charles "Skeeter" Crompton, ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, William "Bill" Crompton, his mother, Ila Crompton, and his sisters, Louann and Nancy Crompton.
Viewing will be held at Crandall Funeral Home, 800 Uinta St, Evanston, WY 82930, on April 18, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and again the following day, April 19, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral service will take place on the same day, starting at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Evanston City Cemetery.
