Jess Leonard Pease

Jess Leonard Pease, age 83, passed away peacefully at his home on April 23, 2025, surrounded by love. A proud U.S. Marine and a dedicated retired Deputy Sheriff of Manatee County, Jess spent his life in service to his country and community.
Jess was a deeply loved husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He is survived by his devoted wife, Nydia Pease, and their cherished daughter, Andrea Belle Ibrahim, along with her children Alex, Kendra, and Isabella, who brought him endless joy. He is also survived by his son, Jess Pease, and his wife Gina, and their children Rebecca and Matthew Scott; his son, Kenneth Cross, and his wife Sharmeen, and their children Shelton, Trenton, and Lauren.
Jess's family extended with love to his stepchildren: Rafael Figueroa, Horacio Figueroa and his wife Melissa and their children Matthew, Aiden, and Ethan; and Alex Figueroa and his wife Rebecca. He also leaves behind his sister, Mary Sheridan, and her husband John, and their daughters Marsha, Cathy, and Michelle; as well as his sisters-in-law Elizabeth Pease and Irene Rodriguez, and her son Giovanni Odis.
Jess will be remembered for his strength, integrity, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy of service, kindness, and quiet guidance lives on in the many lives he touched.
A memorial service will be held on May 23rd at 11:00 AM at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, 40 North Orange Avenue, Sarasota, Florida 34236. A burial with military honors will take place on May 27th at 1:00 PM at the Sarasota National Cemetery.
