Jesse Branick, 72 of LaBelle, Texas, a beloved and dedicated member of the community, passed away on November 20, 2023, in Beaumont, Texas. He was born on September 1, 1951, in Port Arthur, Texas. Jesse was known for his dedication to the law and his contributions as an attorney and public servant.
After completing his B.B.A. in marketing at Lamar University in 1973, Jesse went on to earn his Juris Doctorate Law Degree from the South Texas College of Law. Armed with his legal expertise, he opened his law practice in Nederland in 1999 where he represented families in the areas of Wills/Probate, Real Estate, Personal Injury, Adoptions, and Business Law. Jesse's commitment to justice led him to serve as a city attorney for Nederland from 2009 until just recently. Additionally, he served as a prosecutor for the cities of Port Neches, Nederland, Groves, and Port Arthur. In recognition of his knowledge and capabilities within the legal field, Jesse also served as a magistrate judge in Jefferson County starting in 2007.
Jesse leaves behind a legacy that extends beyond his professional accomplishments. He deeply cherished his family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
His immediate family members who survive him include his loving wife of 38 years, Jo Lynn Branick of LaBelle, Texas; daughters, Jeslyn Hebert and her husband, Aaron of Orangefield, Texas and Jena Branick of Phoenix, Arizona; sisters, Lee Dell Poole and her husband, Bob of Royse City, Texas and Laura Branick, also of Royse City; brother, Jeff Branick and his wife, Sherrie of Port Neches, Texas. Jesse's impact will continue to resonate within this close-knit circle.
Jesse is preceded in death by his parents, Bruce Branick and Virgie Caughlin Branick; and his sister, Lizbeth "Libby" Branick.
Throughout his life, Jesse demonstrated unwavering dedication both personally and professionally. Throughout his career, Jesse was known for and looked forward to helping families through his true passion for adoption. His strong sense of morality and passion for justice were evident to all who crossed paths with him. While he will be profoundly missed by those who knew him best, Jesse Branick's memory will endure as a source of inspiration for generations to come.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to The Temple, Sweet Pups, Pups in Peril, Meezer's Mission Cat Rescue or any animal rescue of your choice.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Scott Hall at The Temple, 4101 Hwy 73, Port Arthur, Texas on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. ~ 7:00 p.m. with remembrances shared by Jesse's friends and colleagues at 5:30 p.m. Services are under the direction of Melancon~Levingston Funeral Home, Nederland, Texas.
