Jesse Kenneth Carraway “Frog”, 94, passed away Thursday February 12, 2026. Jesse was born April 12, 1931, in Green County, North Carolina to William and Mae Carraway Norris.
Jesse cherished the time he spent in the U.S. Army. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Jesse worked for Ruffin Oil Company and Wilson Petroleum. He was the owner of Frog Properties, LLC.
Jesse is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Watkins and husband, Vic, and their children, Brandon, Todd, Matt and Gardner; sons, Mark Carraway and wife, Lynne and their child, Ethan, and Ray Carraway and his children, daughter, Courtney, son, Kevin and wife, Vivian; six great-grandchildren; sister, Jean Knight, and brother, Allen Norris.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ellen Carraway; son, Ronald Dean Carraway; sisters, Carolyn O'Neal, Barbara Latta, Inez Cherry, Eloise Winstead, Anna Lee Reid and his brothers, James, George, and Willie Carraway.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson, North Carolina. Rev. LaVon Phillips will officiate.
The family will receive friends Monday evening following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson, North Carolina.
